Sinoc je bio praznik-za mene,naravno i jos oko 150 posvecenika i postovalaca Steve Wynna.Sticajem glupih okolnosti,prvi put sam ga gledao sinoc iako covek dolazi vec cetvrti put u Bg.Prvi put je bio davne 1996.i bio zapanjen poznavanjem njegovog opusa od strane domace publike.Tada ga je Beograd kupio zauvek i UVEK dodje kad je na turi po Evropi.Osnivac uticajnog banda The Dream Syndicate tokom skoro tri decenije je bio uzor mladjim kolegama izmedju ostalog i jednoj Nirvani.Wynn je kasnih 80-tih zapoceo solo karijeru,svesno izbegavajuci komercijalu i mejnstrim,posvetio se svojoj muzici i godisnje svira i po 150 koncerata !
U opustenoj,prijateljskoj atmosferi sinocni koncert je samo potvrdio da je Wynn muzicar skrojen od najfinijeg materijala.Topla i intimna svirka,kako Wynn rece u jednom trenutku "kao na privatnom partiju "izmamila je ovacije i dva bisa od prisutnih.Ono sto me je dodatno ubedilo da je Wynn pravi gospodin i da ne boluje od kompleksa rok zvezde je njegovo prijateljsko caskanje sa gostima posle koncerta koje se produzilo duboko u noc.Sa svakim je rado popricao,slikao se i usput potpisivao diskove
Novi album izlazi u aprilu,posle cega ce na jesen uslediti turneja sa punim bandom,a obecanje da se tada ponovo vidimo je prosto logicno.

Prostor je mali,karte rasprodate po ceni 800-1000 dinara.Moja procena je da je bilo i vise ljudi jer uvek imas vip.Ako mislis na Wynnov cisto akusticni album najblize tome je dupli koncertni koji je sinoc mogao da se kupi sa posvetom.Rec je o radio koncertu Live in Bremen iz 2003.,nije u redovnoj prodaji vec samo na koncetima i ovde http://www.stevewynn.net/ Tiraz je 1000 kom.,numerisan,a juce su se mogli kupiti primerci sa pocetnim brojevima 600 i 700 (lik je na moje oci trazio sto manji broj ) Zainteresovanima-dostupan

Na to sam i mislio. Live in Bremen se pominje u diskografiji ali nema nigde da se skine. Sad znam i zasto Mislio sam da je izdat malo ranije s`obzirom da je snimljen 2003.

Ako kao jedan od kriterijuma za dobru plocu uzmemo njeno trajanje kroz vreme(sto bi rekao jedan kriticar,takva ploca je mogla biti snimljena bilo kad 70-tih,80-tih,90-tih.....a opet je uvek ona prava) album koji sledi je pravi primer takvog parceta muzike.Snimljen je daleke 1992.,a reizdat valjda prosle godine.Album koji je razbio sve indie liste,pun hitova,krepak,uvek svez,razigran i radostan.Lemonheadsi nisu nikad napravili the best izdanje(bar koliko ja znam..)a i sta ce im,kad imaju ovaj all time album.Nemoguce je da niste culi neku od pesama sa ovog albuma do sad-osim naslovne,tu su jos i punokrvni hitovi kao Confetti,Rudderless i cover od S.&G. -Mrs. Robinson
Definitivno ploca nedelje(iako album zvanicno izlazi tek krajem meseca)Svakim slusanjem je sve bolja Album prvenac za njujorski band Langhorne Slim je fino ukomponovana mesavina rocka,popa i folka koja odise poletom i zeljom za dokazivanjem. Gitare,fine klavijature,zacinjeno povremeno i stidljivim gudacima,duvacima i harmonikom,baroknih aranzmana,a pritom sve povremeno vuce na Dylana..Treba li vam nesto vise?

Garaza,ne za kola,vec za slusanje ! Punokrvni gitarski sound...
Ploca koja sledi po svim kriterijumima mogla je da osvane i u topicu Antologijski albumi..al draze mi je da bude na cosetu
Rec je o drugom albumu Cowboy Junkies pod imenom The Trinity Sessions,koji je dosta neuobicajeno snimljen(vise u tekstu dole)
Sama ideja da se snimi album u prelepoj akusticnoj atmosferi Trinity crkve u Torontu,samo jednim mikrofonom oko kojeg svira ceo band,pa jos sa posvetama autorima kao sto su Lou Reed i Hank Williams govori o posvecenosti samog banda tradiciji,tumacenoj na hrabar nacin.Legenda koja kaze da je ploca snimljena na " mah" u jednom danu,izgleda da nije tacna ponesto je snimljeno i jednom drugom zgodom.
Rezultat ovih sesna je bio zadivljujuci :ploca je postavila nove standarde u (tada jos neiskovanoj reci) americana.Bilo je tesko odrediti kako nazvati konglomerat tradicionalne americke muzike,folka,countrija,bluesa,psihodelicnog rocka,i bolnog vokala gospojice Margo Timmins..svejedno rezultat je bio briljantan.
Prosle godine je izdat Trinity Revisited,omaz prvobitnom originalnom izdanju iz 1987.,sa gostima(zvezdama)kao sto su Ryan Adams i Natalie Merchant Lepo podsecanje,ali bez one divne aure koja je krasila prvo izdanje.

The Trinity Session is a 1988 album by Cowboy Junkies, their second album.
The album was recorded at Toronto, Ontario's Church of the Holy Trinity on November 27, 1987, with the band circled around a single microphone. The album includes a mixture of original material by the band and covers of classic pop, rock and country songs, including the band's most famous single, a cover of The Velvet Underground's "Sweet Jane", based on the early version found on 1969: The Velvet Underground Live, rather than the well-known studio version from Loaded. Also included is "Blue Moon Revisited (Song for Elvis)", which is both a cover and an original, combining a new song by the band with the pop standard "Blue Moon".
The band wanted to record live with one stereo microphone direct to tape. Peter Moore was enlisted and suggested the Church of the Holy Trinity in Toronto for its natural reverb. To better persuade the officials of the historic church, the band claimed to be The Timmins Family Singers and said they were recording a Christmas special for radio. The session began on the morning of November 27, 1987. The group first recorded the the songs with the fewest instruments and then the songs with gradually more complex arrangements. In this way Moore and the band were able to solve acoustic problems one by one. To better balance Margo Timmins's vocals against the electric guitars and drums, she was recorded through a PA system that had been left behind by a previous group. By making subtle changes in volume and placement relative to the microphone over six hours, Moore and the band had finally reached the distinctive sound of the album by the time the last of the guest musicians arrived at the church.

Prvi je Micah P.Hinson,djecarac od 20 i kusur leta,ali vec iskusan, sa albumom prvencem iz 2004.iza sebe.Album se zvao Micah P. Hinson And The Gospel Of Progress i te godine je pobrao lovorike sa relevantnih mesta(Uncut,NME,Time Out, Independent ) kvalifikovan kao: "an astonishing debut album of country noir".Elem evo ga sad sa novim ep-jem,koji opcinjavajuce deluje vec na prvo uvo.Necu ga vise hvaliti,jednostavno poslusajte.
Jos jedan momcic Landon Pigg (ovaj je iz Nesvila ) koji zvuci vrlo iskusno.Melanholicne balade sporog tempa,lepo upakovane u pop manir miljama su daleko od tradicije njegovog rodnog kraja..Ploca za laku noc.....
Kompilacija pod imenom :Zdravo,zdravo,zdravo je presek (poznatijih da ne kazem izvikanijih)novih bandova Srbije.Moram odmah da priznam da nisam nesto odusevljen onim sto sam cuo.
Kao ono sto vredi izdvojio bih Petrol i Zenekese.Britko uradjene kompozicije,cvsto stoje na zemlji svaka na svom terenu-Petrol vise oslonjen na elektro new wave a Zenekese na garazni zvuk.
Nezni Dalibor je po meni isuvise izvikan band ,Repetitor i ovi Tussilago...tja..sta reci..

"The days during my three weeks in Ljubljana were pretty simple. I would wake up early and leave my apartment on Trubarjeva Street and cross Dragon Bridge in search of a good cup of coffee which I would I would sip as I watched the vendors in the open market as they sold cabbage, purses, cheap watches and anything else that might be worth a Euro or two. I’d watch this panorama of commerce and barter and think about which song I would drag into the daily laboratory that was Chris Eckman’s home studio.
I had never made a record like this before. I was in Slovenia, far from my New York City apartment and in a musical world that had shrunk down to just two people—me and Chris, the multi-talented producer (Midnight Choir) and bandleader (Walkabouts, Chris & Carla). He had been wanting to make a record with me for many years and seemed particularly intent on stripping things down to my voice and my acoustic guitar and then building up another universe from there.
No band. No session players (until later). No passing of the baton in this relay race. Even Chris would hesitate when I tried to get him to play something. Guitar, bass, keyboards, vocals—if I could do it, I had to do it. And that’s why “Crossing Dragon Bridge” sounds different from other records I’ve done before but also more like the sound inside my head than anything I’ve done before.
But it’s not a record I would have made in New York. Or in Tucson. Or in Los Angeles, Tokyo, Moscow or Mali, It’s not like a record I would make on the moon or on Mars or in New Jersey. It has the sound and the mood and the sights and the overall vibe of Ljubljana. I swallowed the city whole and then waited for the meal to work itself into a digestive hallucination before spitting it out again each day at Chris’ place. And then it was back for a pint of Union beer by the river before starting all over again.
When I left Slovenia a few weeks later both of us knew we had something special. And then we proceeded to add the extra bits that would take the experience further. An eight-piece orchestra was added in Prague to a bunch of the songs and a woman’s choir in Ljubljana was added to others. Linda Pitmon, Kirk Swan, Chris Cacavas and Tim Adams (Teenage Prayers) chimed in from New York, Los Angeles and Germany bringing in elements of familiarity from my past and present.
Finally the whole thing was filtered through the creative and impressionistic mixing skills of Tucker Martine (Decemberists, Laura Veirs) and turned into the record that you hold in your hands. It’s a snapshot, a dream, an acid flashback, a tourist guide, a midnight snack, a morning cup of coffee—it’s the other world that happened around me and inside my head for three weeks last September. I hope you enjoy taking the trip back there with me."

Ko nije bio prosle nedelje u Liverpoolu (a znam neke..)na koncertu mladjanih momaka iz Milwaukee-ja,grdno je omasio..Ne samo zbog cinjenice da nam je pod nosom svirao band iz daleke prekookeanske zemlje,vec vise zbog toga sto je zabava bila bas luda!
Malo je reci da je nastup bio energican i euforican (donekle i pod uticajem providne coca-cole domace proizvodnje-od sljive )Momci su stvarno "poginuli"na bini,isporucujuci gomilu energije u punk maniru, svirajuci ipak nesto mnogo blize njihovom rodnom muzickom nasledju.

All the members of the .357 STring Band have been active members in the punk/rockabilly scene in the midwest for years before deciding to go bluegrass. Their Live show has been referred to as "Hoe-down meets Throw-down" by many reviewers.
The .357 STring Band's unique mash of punk and bluegrass echoes both old-school country and traditional mountain music, but the group is much harder to define than it might seem. Bonnie "Prince" Billy's album I See a Darkness seems to pick up where Will Oldham's 1997 album Joya left off; a more melodic style than the veteran Palace listener might be used to. Oldham definitely hasn't abandoned his foundation of mordant lyrics and minimalist arrangements, but he has built a variety of different layers that make this album an emotional and pleasurable listening experience. In "Nomadic Revery," Oldham draws upon his classic Appalachian sound; it's the kind of song that begs you to join in. Oldham has always given the kind of energy to his character's voices that most people are afraid to relate to. This is all too evident in "Death to Everyone," Oldham punches out his bitter poetry in his most somber voice. The album takes its most surprising turn on "Madeleine-Mary," a Celtic-style folk song set to a Rastafarian guitar sound. "Today I Was an Evil One" introduces a horn section that drives home his morbid words in a strangely elegant manner. The album closes with a short and rare love song called "Raining in Darling"; Oldham stretches his voice to its most impressive limits, and the number is touching and hopeful.

Tim Lee je ziva legenda Knoxville-a,TN,covek koji je jedan od utemenitelja Southern Rock-a,druzio se i svirao sa mnogim danasnjim zvezdama rocka ali je na (moju) srecu ostao svoj-van velike industrije rock zabave,gurajuci svoj trip.
On,zena mu Susan Bauer Lee i bubnjar Rodney Cash su TL3,a svoju muziku odredjuju blize kao Psychedelic / Southern Rock / Garage,a ja bio skromno dodao uz to i roots rock..
Adrenalinska,furiozna svirka starog macora,iz koje sija iskustvo i STAV je sve samo ne nesto sto bi trebalo da preskocite

About Tim Lee 3
The Tim Lee 3 was born in late 2006 when guitarist/singer/songwriter Tim Lee and bassist/singer/songwriter Susan Bauer Lee needed a drummer for a string of shows in the South. They called on Rodney Cash, a friend and former drummer who appeared on Tim’s “Concrete Dog” album. The trio worked up enough material to play the shows, then hit the woodshed over the winter to develop new material. Melding a variety of influences, The 3 hit on a swampy, rock and blues-infused sound that Steve Wildsmith of the Maryville Daily Times described as sounding “like X, if they ended up in a drunken jam with Crazy Horse.”
In February of ’07, the Tim Lee 3 traveled to Tucson, Ariz., to record eight songs at Wavelab Studios with Craig Schumacher (Neko Case, Steve Wynn & the Miracle 3, Calexico). Since their return, the TL3 have continually added new material to their repertoire, while embarking on a busy schedule of live shows around their native east Tennessee and beyond, sharing stages with the likes of the Bottle Rockets, the Drams, Mitch Easter, Steve Wynn & the Miracle 3, Magnapop, Dave Barbe, the Moaners, Southern Culture on the Skids and Blue Mountain.

Po prvi put(bar zvanicno dostupno )sam napravio malu kompilaciju.Dosta ljudi po kojekakvim blogovima postavlja svoje kompilacije ili podkastove.Podeliti jos sa nekim omiljenu muziku nije lose,zar ne?Oduzima dosta vremena da se sklopi tako da me je mrzelo da "peglam bitazu",sto mi nadam se niko nece zameriti..

Jawbone is a one-man band. Its pseudonymous star simultaneously beats a bass drum, blows a harsh harp, hollers his guts out and bleeds bare-bones blues out of a distorted guitar. He thrills live, but in the studio he refuses to expand or soften the rigorously defined parameters of his aesthetic. This his second album has more in common with the spirit of the blues than Eric Clapton ever had — purists might even love it — but its migraine-inducing qualities will also entrance fans of unfettered garage noise. Poured from a deep vein of raw garage-rock sewage with a John Lee Hooker chaser, this Detroit trio (which, like New York's kindred A-Bones, had a woman beating its skins) made no pretense of instrumental skill or audio fidelity on its records. (The group did, however, go in for annotation. The first album's insert offers such inspiring song explanations as this, by way of "Boogie Chillun": "This was one of the first songs we ever learned, because it only has three notes. When we first started, any songs with more than nine notes in it was usually too complicated for us.") Intuitive geniuses plugged in but still making their way in the dark, guided only by pure and knowledgeable rock'n'roll spirit, the unabashed Gories — Mick (vocals, lead guitar), Dan Kroha (vocals, rhythm guitar) and Peggy O'Neill (drums) — were both (and equally) horrible and great, their elemental wretchedness pure and unvarnished. Those who expect anything approaching professionalism should stay away, but if the words "bad" and "junk" are words of praise in your vocabulary, then dig right into the Gories. No refunds allowed.
House Rockin' is a ground-zero learning experience (for the band, that is) with tinny, gruelly, echoey sound, one-take/no-overdubs performances and Mick's growly vocals.
The Mummies were a garage punk band formed by Trent Ruane (organ, vocals), Maz Kattuah(bass), Larry Winther (guitar) and Russell Quan (drums).
The Mummies are especially known for their matching, tattered mummy costumes they wore on stage and their impertinent and insulting attitude that they brought with them. They created and promoted the concept of 'Budget Rock', which rejected professionalism and star status in favor of a simplified do-it-yourself aesthetic. As part of this concept they performed and recorded only on outdated and often damaged equipment. For a tour vehicle they used a garishly painted 1965 Pontiac ambulance. The budget rock concept was carried further when, inspired by Billy Childish, the Mummies created the 'lo-fi' movement with their intentionally low fidelity recordings. As part of their lo-fi manifesto, they released their music only on vinyl for many years, allowing 'official' CD format releases only in the 2000's.
"Never Been Caught" was originally released in 1992. The CD contains all 17 original tracks as well as the entire "Planet Of The Apes" single, "Your Love" taken from the B-side of the "Stronger Than Dirt" single, and "Uncle Willie" from the Turban Renewal LP, for a total of 22 tracks.
Beck’s new album Modern Guilt, produced with Brian “Danger Mouse” Burton, will be released July 8, 2008.
The new album contains 10 new songs, and with the exception of last year’s Grammy-nominated, digital-only single “Timebomb”, Modern Guilt is the first new material Beck has written since the prolific stretch that produced 2005’s platinum Guero and 2006’s universally acclaimed The Information.
